Tbilissi Mall is one of the largest shopping malls in Georgia and it is located just a few miles outside the city, meeting globally recognized standards. As a modern shopping center it is a unique family destination offering unique shopping experience for locals and tourists including hundreds of impressive apparel dealerships, leisure and entertainment activities. The architecture design is contemporary, combining modern trends and ecologically green infrastructure. This unique and large development has four floors and covers approximately over 72,000 m² with 250 retail units, 2,000 parking spaces, a 15,000 m² hypermarket and a 1,000 m² entertainment center.
Project Requirements
ALCHIMICA with its global experience in waterproofing and sealing was able to provide any assistance in every phase of the project. The project itself required specific requirements due to the complexities both in the domed and other shaped roofs with many details to be catered.
ALCHIMICA SOLUTIONS
Taking into consideration the impressive domed roof but also the climate conditions, our HYPERDESMO® concrete roof waterproofing system, was selected and applied on the fiber cement roof and successfully covering the whole surface. The system included the priming of the surface and also the sealing of the roof joints with the HYPERSEAL technology while the certified HYPERDESMO® waterproofing membrane applied in 2 coats. In addition, HYPERDESMO® ultimate polyurethane technology waterproofed and protected further challenges and details in the complex roof shapes and installations such as air-conditioning units, pipe supports, antennas.

ALCHIMICA’s bridge deck waterproofing system, based on HYPERDESMO liquid applied waterproofing membrane, has been applied at several bridges of the Attiki Odos motorway.

One of the most beautiful landscapes of the Central Dalmatian coast is the Ĺ ibenik in Croatia, a unique place where someone can be experienced international cultural events while enjoying nature. Ĺ ibenik is a prestigious and stylish hotel that blends history with the modern style of the new era.
D-Resort Šibenik’s design matches the shape of the Mandalina peninsula. What differentiates its architecture design is that the interior and exterior spaces are being connected as a united spatial, providing a sense of an artifact to the building. For this particular design materials such as concrete, wooden planks and open big glasses were used to embody the Mediterranean landscape to the construction.
Project Requirements
The project needed specific waterproofing solutions for the roof, verandas and balcony areas. Because the construction has a unique architectural design there were many complexities on the roofs and verandas. In addition, the weather conditions in the location such as high humidity and temperature fluctuations required the selection of specific application systems with strong chemical, mechanical and weather resistance that would ensure the long performance of the project.
ALCHIMICA SOLUTIONS
Taking into consideration the complex architectural design of the roofs and the climatic conditions, our HYPERDESMO® concrete roof waterproofing system, was selected and applied on the concrete roofs. The system included the priming  of the surface with the Microsealer-50 and the sealing of the roof joints with HYPERSEAL sealants, while the certified HYPERDESMO® waterproofing membrane was applied in 2 coats reinforced with geotextile. To increase the systems durability and performance the top coat HYPERDESMO®-ADY-E was used.
Moreover, the HYPERDESMO® system was used for the waterproofing of the verandas and balconies offering high performance and ease of application.
